What to do if you get an error message when loading non-BMP pictures (GIF, JPG, PNG, or DIB) into ToonTalk
NOTE. Beginning with version 3 (Beta 33 or version 2.40 or later) ToonTalk uses Microsoft's GDI+ instead of the DirectX Media extensions. This new API works with Windows 98 and Windows NT 4.0 and above it but does not work for Windows 95. For Windows 95 ToonTalk continues to use the DirectX Media extensions.
ToonTalk uses Microsoft's DirectX Media extensions to Windows to load pictures (other than BMP files). If loading non-BMP files signals an error there are few things to try before reporting the problem to support@toontalk.com.
If the problem persists after trying the above, then please report it to support@toontalk.com. Thank you.
